Call for scholarships

We are pleased to announce that this year for the first time we are offering two partial scholarships as part of our master’s program „Visual Anthropology, Media and Documentary Practices”. These scholarships are designed to give talented students the opportunity to pursue their academic goals and develop their skills. You can find all the details about the application and the deadlines for submission in this document.

Type and aim of the scholarship
A total of 2 partial scholarships of 4,000.00 euros each will be awarded for the program starting in the winter semester 2025/26. Each applicant can only be funded once. The participation fee exceeding the scholarship as well as the costs for meals, travel and possibly accommodation must be financed independently.

Selection criteria
Applicants who have at least one year of professional experience, above-average performance in their university studies and a high level of motivation are eligible for funding. Voluntary engagement is desirable.
The prerequisite for funding is that applicants fulfil the admission requirements for the master’s program „Visual Anthropology, Media and Documentary Practices”:

  • a relevant undergraduate or first degree (at least 180 ECTS credit points, e.g., Bachelor and Master)
  • at least one year of work experience in media production and/or the social sciences or cultural studies subsequent to your first university degree
  • English level B2 pursuant to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
