Prof. Dr. Heike Trautmann

Heike Trautmann is a Professor of Machine Learning and Optimization at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Paderborn and was previously a professor for Data Science: Statistics and Optimization at the Department of Business Information Systems at the University of Münster for ten years. Her research focuses include Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, automated algorithm selection and configuration, Social Media Analytics, Data Stream Mining, and Optimization. She is also a visiting professor at the University of Twente (NL), heads the ‘Social Media Analytics Competence Center’ of the European Research Center for Information Systems (ERCIS), and is a key supporter of the Confederation of Laboratories for Artificial Intelligence Research in Europe (CLAIRE).

Prof. Dr. Heike Trautmann is the academic director of the Master’s program in Data Science.
