Recently, the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Münster was honored to welcome Prof. Dr. Peter Ian Crawford from the University of Tromsø. A central aim of his visit was to strengthen the cooperation between the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Münster and the Department of Anthropology at the University of Tromsø and to promote a planned Erasmus agreement between the two institutes.

The Ersamus agreement will hopefully be signed this year, which will be an important step for future cooperation. This agreement will allow students and researchers to study, research and exchange ideas at both institutions – we are very excited about the opportunities that this new agreement will offer all involved parties!

Moreover, Prof. Crawford gave a lecture as part of Module 2 “Representation and Narrative Strategies” of the master program in “Visual Anthropology, Media and Documentary Practices” at the University of Münster Professional School and engaged in discussions with students of the program. In the evening, he participated in the graduation screening of the master program at the cinema “Schloßtheater Münster” where he moderated the screening of one of the films.
